My grand mother passed away on Monday 15 July 2013.She had a funeral cover of R3500 at Jet. On Tuesday 16 July 2013, I went to the JetMart branch in Vredenburg to submit the claim. I gave the guy who was helping me there all the documents (death certificate, both id copies of my deceased grandmother & myself, her late husband's death certificate & also the Notice of death& an affidavit stating that I'm the granddaughter of the deceased). On Wednesday, 17 July 2013, I had to fly back to Johannesburg. On Thursday 18, July 2013 I called the Vredenburg JetMart again to find out how far the claim is cos so far I have not receive any feedback. The guy who assist me told me that he spoke to their head office and they say I should go& get a letter from the Master at the High Court. On Tuesday, 23 July I went to the High Court in Kimberley &they told me there that I have to go & register it in Cape Town. My grandmother is originally form the Northern Cape hence we are planning on burying her in the Northern Cape. Must I now really go through all of these processes just to get a R3500 which my grandmother has been paying her account and knew that she had a funeral cover. My mom passed away last year April.
