I took a Policy with Avbob in January 2013 and it could only commence on 01/03/2013 since their system could only take that date. My Grandmother whom I had covered passed on 23/08/2013 and I registered a funeral claim thinking that we are on the 6th months and there would be cover, I submitted all the required documents at Polokwane branch on 26/08/2013 and I was promised feedback in the form of sms when the claim is being processed till its finalisation, that never happened and I called on the 29/08/13 to find out what happened to the claim and found out that it had been rejected, I asked why no one contacted me to let me know since 48hours that I was promised had long passed by that time.02/09/12 I called again to obtain more reasons for the rejection and I was told my premium for August will be refunded back to me and they need my bank statement which I must say was submitted with the claim forms. I need to take funeral cover for more family members but I am sceptical about the type of service that I received from a company that existed for more than 90years, I will have to take my money to your competitors.
