False promises/advertisement

What a disgrace. I took full advantage of their SMS system to try surprise my wife and get an account. I then received the good news stating "Congrats!!! Your Rage account has been approved!! Don't forget your ID book, a copy of your ID and latest additional proof of address. Happy shopping...". And I did exactly that on 18th of June 2013. But once in store, they lady one the other end of the phone line states that it has been declined. HOW on earth do you send out such a misleading SMS clearly stating it is approved (and not conditionally approved ect.) and even hint on "spending" saying "happy shopping"? This is clearly misleading the public and most definitely not up to standard with Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) in more than one way! When questioned, they handed me the phone to speak to the consultant online. The lady did not respond when asked her name, she rather offered to answer my question. When I explained in what ways they are not obliging with ASA and I will complain, her response was "Ooooookay, bye! " and hung up!!! UNACCEPTABLE!!! The ladies in store was of great help of course. Very disappointed, still in disbelieve of this!
