Exchanging a faulty cricket helmet

I bought a masuri cricket helmet in Johannesburg, when I figured out that the helmet was faulty I came to exchange it. It happened that there was no size for me in the store. Then Benzo told me the only way I could have the helmet on Saturday morning is if I pay for the courier from my own pocket. I came to the shop on Thursday 11th July 2013 the time was 11:00am. I was suppose to play a game on Saturday. What I don't understand is how must I pay for the courier when sportsman's sold a faulty helmet in the first place. Surely they must take responsibility, Benzo further told me it could take 2weeks or more if they were to get it for me. I was not impressed with the treatment at all.
