Dear sir madam

I am disgusted with the service received at Edgar's tiger valley, Cape Town. I was given a gift (guess handbag) for my birthday by my uncle which he had purchased at the tyger valley branch. he had paid cash for this handbag. I was not satisfied with this gift so I decided to exchange for a different bag of same value. My uncle had returned to Johannesburg so I had no proof of purchase. I went to the store explained my request to the customer services consultant. They were not prepared to assist me and insinuated that this handbag was not purchased at their store. They also alluded to not having that type of bag in store. I was then referred to the manager, who also had the same demeanor. I asked them to check on the date the item was purchased and pull out the sales transaction, giving my uncles details. They were not prepared to. When I asked for Edgar's returns policy and guess returns policy they could not provide one.
I usually purchase cosmetics and Tyrone recognized me. After explaining my issue he managed to assist and I was issued with a gift card. It is disturbing to know that this kind of behavior towards blacks continues in the cape and I feel insulted
