Stinking Attitude for a store manage

I went to the Edgars store at the Randburg Square shopping Mall where i went to return an item that was bought at that same branch. When I got there to the cashier i told her that i was there to return a pair of shoes that i wore for 2 months which got damaged by the heels, so i wanted to exchange them for something else. the lady didn't even listen to my story and already responded by saying "sorry we cannot exchange them" anyways to make my story short, she then called the manager Leonard who asked me the same questions over & over again like i was a criminal trying to from them. He asked for the slip which i did not have because i used a gift for the shoes. I purcahsed these shoes also at the Randburg square, thinking that if i go back to same store they would exchange it. He asked for the gift card so that he could check when it was purchased but wth a stinking attitude, like he is doing me a favour. I explained to him that the lady that swiped the gift card did not give the card back to me neither did she give me a slip. so have is that my fault. I returned the shoes in the same Edgards box with the purchase price on it as well as its barcode, so can you not pick details up
