SIES!!! How the is this woman even a manager?

I received a gift card worth R400 and bought a frying pan of R350. I then further purchased a knife and utensil set of R690 and paid the difference in cash. Apparently, the transaction was captured incorrectly and therefore, when I returned the knife and utensil set, my slip showed that I purchased R1040 with a gift card only worth R400. Surely this is not my problem. The "manager" (Melanie) in your Canal Walk store is APALLING! She is unhelpful and rude! After explaining my situation to her, she continued to tell me that I did not purchase in cash at all, implying that I was lying. She refused to give me a new set, instructing a shop assistant to refund me and just walked off. I had to settle for a gift card, which i didn't want! I'm COMPLETELY DISGRACED at the customer service I received in a "high-end" store - and from a MANAGER!!! When I asked her to call Customer Services to resolve the issue, she said they were gone for the day (I was in store just before 4) - which is a blatant because there are agents available until 9pm. The poor shop assistants gave apologies for her when she left! Thank goodness for the REAL manager at FX who assisted me perfectly, and with a smile.
