The following incident occurred to me today in an @Home store:
When i tried to pay my account and purchase a gift for my sister I was informed that my contract with company had expired after I had only been with the for two months. Upon a call to the helpline i was informed by customer care that it was due to the fact the my contract expires with my current employer in December. This is appalling as I have only had my account with the company for 2 months.

Firstly, why was i not informed of this when I opened and account in March.
Secondly, I have accounts with various other companies whom have no problem with me still buying on my account as i am diligent with payments and my contract is with them. My contract with my employer has nothing to do with the company as long as i have a constant monthly income.
Thirdly, the attitude I received from customer service was one of " well its not really my problem as I don't make policy"

The fact of the matter is I can no longer buy on my account till my employer renews my contract, which will only be in December, but for now Ii will be closing my account with the company. This is completely unacceptable.
