Does not want to pay 50% deposit back

Erin is a hair stylist. She has quoted us for a hair and makeup session for our wedding. The quote required us to pay a 50% booking deposit.

After some thought we decided to go with a supplier closer to home. We contacted Erin and cancelled the appointment. 3.5 months in advance.

She refuses to pay our deposit back (R800, it is a lot when you are paying for a wedding.). She had a terrible attitude regarding this and she did not even want to discuss the situation, even though she is in contravention of chapter 17 of the CPA act.

I would not recommend using her at all. She was rude and uncompromising. This is not the attitude I expected from someone who helps people on such a happy day.
