I provisionally booked a hall for a wedding for 01 March 2014. I phone hellenic community centre and they said i should fill in a booking form and pay a deposit of R6954. They told me the date will only be secured once they receive a signed booking form and the deposit. I paid the deposit only and then a few days later i cancelled the booking as the wedding was cancelled. I have NOT sent them a signed booking form. Iv contacted them and they said i cannot get my deposit back which I can't understand because I have not signed the booking form. What kind of a service is this??? Why can't I get my money back? It says clearly on the booking form that the date will not be secured until I have signed the form which means it wasn't secured but they keeping my money anyway?
