We bought a defy microwave in December and it had an intermittent fault of not heating or cooking food. In April we took it in and it came back repaired about one week early in May. It only worked few days and the same problem again. On 26/5/2013 I took it back and I requested a replacement. A manger was called and refused to come and I waited for more than 20 min, eventually told the consultant to to exchange it. I did not want the same brand and the consultant said its fine I can use the voucher for anything I want. I left the store with out taking anything for my wife to decide. Because my wife had bad experience on the initial repair and we decided to get cash to buy where they care about customer service. When she got into the store she was made to waite for the manager for a long time and Themba told her we don't qualify for a refund they were doing us a favour. He send my wife away with out a refund and told her to bring me into his store there is nothing he can do if we want a refund. I'm supprised that there are still people holding managerial positions like Themba who don't know the recent legislation pertaining to returns and who display a lack of customer service.
