Poor service and contravention of consumer act

On 11 November 2013 I bought a board short from said company for R75.00. When I bought it I did not have time to fit it and asked the gentleman who served me if I could bring it back if it does not fit for an exchange or refund. He said that it was no problem. Consequently it did not fit and my wife took it back to get a smaller size. They did not have a smaller size and said that they would try to find one from another branch. My wife phoned them on more than one occasion but they never got back to her. on the 31st of December 2013 I took the shorts back to the store and asked for my money back because they could not supply what I had bought. They refused to do this and insisted on looking for one. I said it was ridiculous because almost 2 months was more than sufficient time if they had one somewhere which they obviously did not have. I then said that I want a refund. They said they cannot do this and tried to force me into buying something else. Eventually they gave me a gift voucher to buy something else. Firstly they could not supply what I bought and then want to force me to buy something else when there is nothing I want. This ridiculous service to be bullied like this.
