Extended warranty or not

We bought a micro wave oven on 25.06.2011 at Game Capegate and received a one year warranty on the product. After consultation with the sales person we agreed to take out an additional one year warranty at an extra cost.

We were told that by taking out this additional warranty that in the event of any breakdown the oven will be replaced not repaired without any questions asked. It so happened that the oven broke down and on the 23.04.2013 we took it to Game Zevenwagcht.

Here we got told that the oven will unfortunately not be replaced but repaired and it will only be ready in three weeks time. Three weeks came and went. We were told that there is a payment that needed to be made before delivery. We questioned this and the response received, "You will have to wait another three weeks"

Needless to say I feel that Game misrepresented the facts that we will receive a new oven in the event of any failure to the oven. It is ridiculous that we have to wait so long for the oven to be returned.

I have been a loyal customer to Game and with this happening I seriously doubt Game's integrity, level of service and their willingness to make good on a product sold.
