On Wed 22/5, I went to my local Clicks to renew my prescription for a schedule 5 drug (Zoloft). My previous 6 mnth script was with the same clicks, and this was simply a renewal. My doc faxed the prescription to me & after I stood in the queue for 15 mins and the pharmacist put through my prescription, I was told that they do not acccept faxed scripts and require an original for a schedule 5. I went on to tell her that she can see that I had the original script with the last one, and that this was merely a renewal, and that if she suspects it's a fake, why not just call the doctor herself. She just said, "sorry, it's our policy". I left feeling hugely frustrated because a schedule 5 drug is not something you should ever miss, and there was no way that I could get an original script that day. I then went to another pharmacist who gladly assisted me. I have always been a loyal customer of Clicks, buying many items from them on a monthly basis, and I could not believe how easily they just brushed me off, with total disregard for my wellbeing. I am of course just a number & that is why Clicks has lost me as a customer for life.
