I returned a Phillips Blu-ray DVD player to them on the 19/05/2013. I have had ongoing problems with the unit where it gave me an error message telling me to contact Phillips. I purchased the unit in later December 2012. I stated to the staff that the unit is still within the six month window as outlined by the NCPA and I would like to get a refund to buy a more reliable DVD player. The staff refused and said that the unit had to be sent to their supplier for repairs and the supplier will make the decision to do a refund. I did not want to fight with them, obviosly they had no idea what a cusomers rights were. A large organisation like Massmart should not pass the buck off to their supplier, I bought the unit from Makro not Phillips. It is shocking that a large retailer like Massmart does not follow the NCPA. I still want a refund!
