Bought a Sony 60" Led Tv from Makro on 26/07/2013. When I purchased the tv I was told by the Sales Person (Sphesihle Zulu) that it was a display unit and in 100% working condition. Today 04/09/2013, the tv suddenly stopped displaying any picture. After close inspection of the tv I found that on the back panel of the tv you can clearly see that the screws that hold the back inplace has been removed before. This making me to think that this unit that was sold to me as a display unit was in-fact a repaired unit. I returned the tv to Makro after having to rent a bakkie (had to pay R300) and embarrassing had to sit on the back to hold this huge tv from falling over while driving to the store. Makro inspected and tested the tv and the sales person (Grant) confirmed that he also thinks that this tv was opened before at the back. What frustrates and angers me it that I have to wait up to 21 work days to get a response from Makro concerning my tv, but I will refuse to accept this tv back even if repaired or a refund from Makro since I was made to believe that this unit was a display unit and not a repaired unit. I am very dissapointed in Makro and Sony!
