Request for damages to be repaired

I was driving out @ 7:30 Tuesday 7th May, as I approached the main gate two other cars were coming into the complex, the one made space for me while other waited @ the gate. After passing the first one the second car drove closer in which allowed me to exit the gate. Just after driving through I heard a loud bang, the gate closed while I was driving out, it hit the drivers door and because I was shocked I continued driving out. The gate didn't sense my car. There was a piece of paper held by a red rubber band on the left beam. The above statement was fowarded to Cobalt and Linda's response was; "Afternoon
You tenant has to claim from his own insurance as the gate was fixed". What happened to my car was an accidant. No one is investgating or asking me any questions. I stated that the beam had a piece of paper and rubber band around it something that should not be there the security gaurd on duty can confirm that, after informing my landlord on the very day he contacted Cobalt they were removed. If I am not going to be contacted, Cobalt will hear from my lawyers. I do not want to be contacted by Linda as I find her tone unacceptable.
