REFUSING TO REFUND PRODUTCT

I bought a GO mini hairstyler from this branch. I had a conversation with the sales lady in the cosmetics department about this as i bought it for my mom for her birthday. i asked if she doesnt want it if they would return it and she said yes. when i wanted to return it they said that she misinformed me as they do not accept return hereof and i had to take it up with the manufacturer themselves. which i did and they saying the outlet should return it. i emailed foschini customer service about 2 weeks ago but no one bothered replying. i feel that i cannot suffer a loss because the sales lady didnt know what she was talking about. i expect someone to contact me urgently please.
