On Thursday 2/5/2013 the consumer bought a childs bicycle from Macro. The 5 year old boy rode the bicycle for thursday afternoon the same day but had to stop due to a puncture in the tire. Friday morning 3/5/2013 the bike was sent to garage to fix the puncture, so boy was only able to ride the bike in the afternoon again, but had to stop due to pedal breaking. The rubber on the handle bars were also damaged by this time.

Macro Staff refused to let consumer speak to the store manager and said they will not replace the bike or refund the consumer. They said the damaged bike was due to the child being rough with it. I understand scrapes and dents, as the child is busy learning to ride a bicycle but the bike should NOT break after only 1 day of riding it (2 afternoons). The child was also being supervised by an adult at all times, and witnessed that the bicycle was not treated poorly.

I have the slip with the date and time of purchase, a slip from the garage who fixed the punctured tire on the friday morning as well as a picture of the broken pedal with the date and time that was sent to me by the supervising adult who was with the boy when the pedal was broken.
