Cancellation of Contract with Netstar (Nightmare)

Most weidest thing happened this morning! I get an sms from Netstar telling me that I owe them R2637 for cancellation of contract! I have 6 months left on the 36 months contract taken out with them via the Insurance.
Now if you calculate the 6 months premium of R290 = R1740. This means that it would cost me less to stay on the contract at R1740 than to cancel at R2637.

I mean honestly where in the world have you ever heard of such ridicousness!!! According to Consumer Proctection Act the highest I would have to pay was at least 40% of R1740 = R696.

SO Watch out guys! Beware of tricksters, sucking out the last penny of your hard earned money without actually providing any service!!
