No service but still charging

To whom it may concern,

Once again I seem to be complaining about ADT. I was burgled last year and call upon ADT with my panic button. I did not get a response from ADT. Than I called them, and they responded after 10 minutes. After this incident, I had informed ADT that even though I had signed a contract with them, I wanted to cancel my service as I felt I was not receiving a service from them. I had informed them that I refused to pay a company who does not provide a service. Yet this morning I noticed that they are continuing to debit my account.

Will someone at ADT please inform me why I should be paying for a non service or should I contact the consumer council???
