My alarm has been going off once a week for the last 2 months for no reason. Called ADT techdesk to request a technician come out & check all sensors to see if there is any fault. Lady on the line says if there is a radio fault then there is no charge for replacing/fixing, I understand that anything else replaced, I will need to pay. She advises they don't make appointments, you select a day & they will call an hour before they are on their way to site, First time I hear of something like this. On the day, the tech office calls & says Tech is sick, we agree that we will meet 2 days later. I mention that considering no appointment, they can only come after 15:30. On the day the tech calls at 15:10, he is in my area & needs to confirm the location of the house as he is 5 minutes away, no call 1 hour before the time. When my wife arrives at home at 15:30 he walks through the house, no tools in hand & checks all sensors & wiring. He adjusts the sensitivity of the motion sensor & then proceeds to right out invoice for R475, when my wife asks what this is for he says its the standard call out fee amount. This was not advised when appointment was made, it should be made clear @ the start.
