UNAUTHORISED DEBIT ORDER

I was sent an sms from MIXTELEMATICS on 16/01/14 that my account was in arrears. I then received a 2nd sms with banking details for the account. I then called the call centre around the 20th to ask them what this was about - they said my contract ended in December and that i owed them money. I cant understand this because i did not inform them to continue my contract, (they claim that I must cancel otherwise I will still be billed) I sent through a cancellation email. The call center advisor did not mention anything about the amount that i owed. after 8 days they did not respond. Then i called as the automated email response said that this was not confirmation of cancellation. The advisor said someone would call to confirm the cancellation. They never did, I received and email 30/01/13 informing me its cancelled. Then i received an sms from my bank on 2/2/14 that a debit order was going off on my account to MIXTELEMATICS. i cancelled the debit order after calling the bank - No authorisation was given from myself to do this and this is ILLEGAL - i need to know how to take this further. NO reminder sms to say contract was cancelled and no follow up calls or emails. How dare they?
