MONEY MAKING SCHEME

When i first moved into a house in Observatory i thought of getting armed response. Conveniently ADT came by without me asking to because they knew that he previous tenants cancelled their contract. So I explained to guy what was needed, that i would only be staying there for the year (implying i only want a contract for the year). Now came moving time, I cancelled my account and THEY CONFIRMED (email proof) with me that my account had been cancelled and that no more money would be going off the following month. SURPRISE money goes off! Now i contact them basically saying, please give my money back, and i get a call saying now NO, i cannot cancel i signed a 24 month contact. AT NO POINT WOULD I HAVE DONE THIS KNOWING I WAS ONLY THERE FOR A YEAR. NO where on the actual contract could i find where the period of service was - turns out it is in the SUPER FINE PRINT and even though I informed the sales person i only wanted it for a year, they went ahead and did that to me? Taking advantage of a client liek this is NOT acceptable and i will never use you again (for this and because i once waited 30min for when there was a real threat in my house) I will fight this until it is solved
