ADT Lets you down when you need them

Yesterday morning 18-12-2013 i noticed that when the power on unit is off that the entire unit goes off and backup battery does not kick in. I immediately contacted ADT to assist as i have a rented system. Also i am afraid as I am going on holiday to coast and have nobody in Gauteng to housesit. I contacted Technical Manager who says they are fully booked. I explain my situation and he said he will send a battery. I havent received battery as yet. I phoned them today to plea with them theat i needed to fix the unit as the battery is not being charged by unit and when battery eventually dies then the unit wont work. He says i should have called 2 weeks ago... There techs have 10 jobs a day and do not work overtime. Especially around this time they need to double on techs or pay them for overtime as many will be in same situation. The technical manager was condisending and was not symphatetic to my needs. Because i have a rented unit I asked if they could send me the PC board and i can get it fixed at my own cost. He refused. So ADT does not want to send a tech neither do they want me to fix myself.. ADT are in security and they abuse that power they have on us.
