I required the services of ADT from June this year. It initially took me 2 weeks and numerous phone calls and emails just to get someone out to my house. After I had signed the contract, it took another 2 weeks till the technician came to my house. I cancelled services on 23 Aug 12. On 25 Sept I get an email back from ADT saying that i must pay a fine of R250 for early cancellation which i didn't mind. I asked about the debit order being cancelled, they tell me that unfortunately it went through to the bank 2 days earlier and it will still be deducted from my account, even though they have already cancelled my service starting 1 Oct, they have still charged me for it, made me pay extra for it, and have the excuse that there's nothing they can do about it as it went through 2 days earlier when it took a month for them to contact me after several attempts from my side to cancel. Then they tell me that I owe them another R370.50 for a battery that was installed. A battery that i was never informed about, never signed off on, nothing. Every time I tried to get answers, it takes at least 2 weeks until I get a reply. It seems there is no one in charge at this place. They are!!!
