ADT installed security beams at my property at the end of September 2013, on 3rd October I paid them in full for the work done an amount of R5, 746.33 On 12th November I received a call from a lady called Irene in their accounts dept, she wanted to know when I was going to make payment. I told I had done it ages ago and she requested proof. Fair enough. I emailed her 3 times that day to the email address she provided a copy of the proof of payment and heard no more. On 25th November when I went to pay some of my accounts by internet I noticed that ADT had taken R5, 746.33 from my account. I did not sign the work order when the job was completed as I know they can tick certain boxes on it which entitles them to do a debit order. I am furious. I have called and after 4 attempts and leaving 2 email messages for Irene I am told that they didn't have enough time to cancel the debit order and she about the date she received the email. a they were not entitled to do a debit order, b they had been paid, c they had 2 weeks to receive-read-receipt the proof of payment and didn't do it and to add insult to injury they haven't refunded me my money. in my eyes this is downright.
