Security alarm not working

On Friday my house was broken into and through my bedroom and my stuff was in my house. When the security came we re-tested the system to only to find that its not working as it should. It was not picking up movements in my bedroom or any of the other places except the Kitchen. The ADT Security system was installed in my house by Waynet Security that installs security for ADT. When I reported and requested that someone be sent from ADT to come and fix the alarm. I was given numbers for secuirty that would be able to come and sort out my problems. When I called those numbers that offices were closed. I called on Saturday and I was told by Waynet that there was no one on standby and I should call ADT. When I called ADT I was told that they could send someone but it will be at a cost to me. I told them that the security was less than two months old and asked as to why I had to pay? I was told that if I wanted that done by them there would be a cost. I asked if they could not work it out between themselves to resolved my situation as I not willing to sleep in a house knowingly that the security is not woking. I was told that if I valued my safety I would. How is that security
