Sometime back i got ADT security to take over my alarm system from Stallion Security, this due to bad service by Stallion. I was promised that ADT was not the same, well that is not what i am writting about. When they took over i had 2 separate systems - Eletric Fencce Alarm and House Alarm. When they did the installation the joined the 2 together and at the time i asked if this was correct? They said yes, however, the SIREN for the fence alarm as cut off and the SIREN for the house alarm was dimmed. This means that when it rings, only if one is inside the house can you hear it, that means that no neighbours or passers by including ADT patrols would never know that the Siren was going. Today at 1.15 am i received a call from ADT control room telling me that my FENCE ALARM WAS RINGING... of course i could not hear it as there is no siren. Then again at 08.55 they phoned and i also received the first SMS's one saying ALARM and the other PANIC was set off. When asked to speak to their technical manager this was refused as usual. I was told that I was out of warranty and that a charge out fee of R642 would be levied, but i could not be told if those were the total charges. Nonsense
