Paying for an alarm that does not work

We have been without a working alarm for a week now.
A technician from ADT's technical department has been here twice to repair our alarm and it is
still not working, after being charged 461.99.
After being without electricity for 3 days the alarm did not work when electricity was restored.
We reported it on Tuesday 28th May. The technician came on Thursday 30th May and supposedly repaired it. On trying to put it on for the night, it did not work.
The second visit was Friday morning 31st May and he said it was something to do with the programming.
On checking it that afternoon, it still did not work and the clock was racing forward in time.
We were promised a visit on Friday afternoon but no-one came.
It is now Monday night and we are still waiting a technician to come.
We have used hundreds of Rands in telephone calls to ADT's call centre and are not prepared to use more.
Needless to say, we still have to pay the monthly subscription even though there is no service.
This is not the first time that it has taken more than a week and several technicians to repair a fault.
