I sent a request to Car Track do de-install the unit in my vehicle on Monday the 29th of July 2013 as my vehicle was written off a week before. On Tuesday I called them to follow up on the matter as I haven't heard anything from them, and my insurer will increase my premiums if the device is not installed in my new vehicle within 7 days from start of cover. Car Track informed me that they will get back to me. Needless to say, they did not.
On the 31st of July they debited my account with R 850 for the de-installation/re-installation, but they haven't scheduled anything with me yet for installation. I gave them a call to find out why they debit my account if no work has been done. The operator informed me that they need an address, and that the vehicle was untraceable and the device was not functioning. So I logged on to their online tracking tool, and tracked it myself. The signal came back stating where my vehicle was.
This is utterly pathetic service from your side, firstly by debiting my account, secondly for lying, and thirdly for wanting to charge me for a replacement unit because you can't track my vehicle.
