Misrepresentation

Upon registering with Tracker i was not informed about the limitations of the system, i.e. that it only functions in South Africa. The sales person on two occasions failed to inform me that the system will only locate you inside RSA and Lesotho. Recently I went with my children to the desert in Namibia, part of the risk procedure was contact with my office and failure to contact would activate tracker to at least give the office a location for evacuation. During a routine process of testing the system i was informed that they cannot find my vehicle and need it tested. I informed them the vehicle was in Windhoek, the person did not know where that is. upon enquirers i discovered that Tracker would have been unable to locate me and that i would have been lost with two kids for a very very long time. Tracker should clearly inform their clients on the limitations set! the best is the insurance companies under scribe them and supply me with cross border paper work for Zambia and clearly the system would not have work. Getting service and call back from tracker, forget it the business is to good due to high crime rate, but that is no excuse to poor service and misrepresentation.
