During February 2013, I contacted ADT telephonically to establish the procedure for cancelling my contract with ADT. They advised me of the procedure, which I immediately followed. After receiving no feedback, I followed up with them in March 2013. I was then informed that this was actually not the procedure to follow, and that I could not cancel the contract. Their consultant therefore gave me the incorrect information. Since March 2013, I have been trying to get someone to assist me in sorting this out. The head office never answers the phone. I finally got a hold of Vusi Ngwenya from their head office via e-mail, but he, and other ADT personnel in the accounts department, fail to respond to any of my e-mails. Every month, someone from their accounts department calls me about the account and I explain the situation to them. Then nothing happens. I receive sms's from their accounts department with contact numbers, but they never answer their phones. If ADT blacklists me for the account which, according to them, is in arrears, I will sue them for damages.
