House alarm/security non functioning

A three day installation (beginning December 2012) turned into a 3 month installation of a simple domestic house alarm. Unresolved.

Starting from a messy installation with an almost complete redo, to inappropriate advisable exterior beams that have makeshift to work by propping them up with wood (looking very ugly). However, still not functioning with many regular false alarms including replacement of various interior hardware over a period of another 3 months. Now, awaiting some more interior wiring and hardware to make it work apparently... Alarm still not working properly.

Very regular technician visits, almost weekly. For me taking time out of work to be available is as inconvenient as having strangers in my home regularly. The service is there, but certainly not the expertise or advice on products.

This was a very expensive alarm system, with what I assumed was: through great experienced and trustworthy advice, however turned out to be the worst ever installation and non-functioning system, possibly the most inappropriate advice I could have gone with.

Another gripe is that I never received an itemised billing, so in the end I dont really know what I was paying for.
