ADT wrecked my ceiling, but won't pay to fix it

This is the hole ADT left in my ceiling [URL Removed]

ADT tell me they're only willing to pay half the repairs because it was installed 3 years ago.

I only noticed now because it was installed behind a built in cupboard. I guess your installer figured this would be acceptable workmanship because it was hidden. But now that we've moved the cupboard to rearrange the room, we're left with a gaping hole in the ceiling.

I didn't realize that you expected me to dismantle a built in cupboard to examine the work done by your installer. You should really put this on your terms and conditions... "Our technicians dont give a about your property, so if they wreck your ceiling and you dont report it in time, tough."

How can you think its right to hold anyone else responsible for the costs of repairing this. YOU DID THIS TO MY CEILING. Not me! Why should I have to pay?

It took tracking down the PE branch manager on Facebook - calling his father and getting his mobile number, to finally get a response from him.

It's been a month since I first called, and now you say you'll only pay half. Like am I going to accept that.
