Change of ownership without any written approval

Recreation & Entertainment

To my dismay I found out this morning that my DSTV PVR decoder has changed ownership on 8 January 2008 to a certain Mr Munroe without my knowledge and consent. My decoder has been installed in 2007 and are still in my possession and even on the same spot as when it was installed. Now Multi choice Call Centre and Bloemfontein Branch say that I must bring in the decoder (unplug it, drive to the branch on my petrol, time and parking cost) to show them that I am still in possession of this mentioned decoder. Call Centre did confirm that the serial number is not the same as on my decoder and that a staff member has done the ownership change in 2008 but now it is my issue and inconvenience of proving otherwise. There mistake becomes my problem. According to my knowledge only staff members have access on DSTV systems to perform these sort of changes so why can't Multi choice not look at their records and see that I have never signed a ownership document and rectify this problem. They are more than willing to accept my payments. The Call Centre Manager did not even had the decency of phoning me back and confirm the way forward in this complaint!!
