Recreation & Entertainment

We have a scheduled payment to Multichoice, for 1st of every month. This year, there have been many months where the 1st day falls on a public holiday or weekend. Yet, this month they decided to disconnect our service. I phoned and managed to get it reconnected, yet I was not told that I will be charged a reconnection fee - who's fault is it that the 1st falls over a weekend? Only to be disconnected again after 2 days. I had to send proof from my bank to show that I do have a scheduled payment. And now, no one calls back to confirm what is happening. Surely I'm not the only Multichoice customer to have an EFT for the 1st of the month??? Do they disconnect everyone's services? I thought it was public knowledge that debit orders only run the first working day after the weekend, yet Multichoice disagrees. If this is the case, surely Multichoice is charging customers reconnection fees illegally??? And then they insist on a debit order - if they cannot even get a simple amount of R29 right the first time, why would I want to punish myself and sign up for a debit order?? Really???
