Disconnected despite paid subscription

Our service was disconnected this morning despite payment already having been made days before. I called them demanding to be reconnected but they first argued that my payment was made after disconnection at 10h00 this morning from an ABSA Account. I have never banked with ABSA but they continued to argue. Then they insisted I pay the reconnection fee even though they eventually saw from my proof of payment of the subscription that same had been paid. The argument then was that we have a payment arrangement for the 27th of each month (this only existed when we had a debit order but because Multichoice couldn't get it right to debit on the 27th I cancelled same). I ask for the payment date to be changed to the 1st of the month and get told that if that's the case I must pay for an additional 3 days viewing. Why on earth would I do that when I have firstly, paid for my viewing for the month and secondly, paid a reconnection fee even though disconnection was a fault on Multichoice's side.
