I was faced with the most unfriendly and unhelpful service at the dstv office, we had a faulty decoder and contacted the call centre and was advised we needed to get a new smart card as we received a replacement decoder from a friend, the first consultant advised me that we needed an affidavit for the decoder to be placed into my name and would not need the smartcard for R120, he was unfriendly not eager to assist (i have been premium dstv subscriber for years but do not hold a green bar coded id as yet .) we left the office and got the affidavit. we returned and was then helped by another consultant who advised we would need to purchase the smartcard when I asked the first consultant why he said this was not necessary we were ignored. They then decided that i needed my status paper as the info was not corresponding i told I had my customer number the supervisor consulted about the status paper was also unfriendly the attitude was that we do not need your business. I left for the second time to get the papers, returned was helped by the 3rd person (also moody) paid for the card which was a second hand card. when I asked bout the service level I was again ignored.
