Multichoice
Big Brother Multichoice

Recreation & Entertainment

DSTV subscribers pay a premium to access services, but we're not in control of Multichoice increasing volume (loudness) levels when adverts are aired. The fact that the loudness the level is automatically increased when an advert is aired is an invasion of privacy and personal choice! This big brother practice is annoying and deprives viewers of freedom of choice. I find the practice particularly irritating when we have our infant in the room - I have to scramble to lower the volume and then increase it again once the advert session has ended!

What gives Multichoice the right to take control of volume levels in our home? We pay exorbitant prices when compared to an equivalent service that in India sells for a fraction of the South African cost. A premium bouquet in SA is R695.00 per month, whereas a premium subscription in India costs R65.00 per month (400 Indian Rupees) - [URL Removed]

Take your dirty hands off our DSTV volume control Multichoice!
