Desperate for someone 'in command'

To tackle my problem. I've resorted to this website as a last resort as I am just banging my head with Multichoice. I've had a persistent problem with my PVR decoder since I acquired it (and it has even been replaced with a brand new one which displays the exact same problem) and yet Multichoice just don't seem to be listening to me. Each time I complain, I get an email/phone call from a different person; each time they advise me to get 'the installers out' or 'bring in the decoder' ... and yet my installation has been completely re-done (no problems there) and I have already had the decoder into their offices! The problem is an intermittent fault with that particular brand/model of decoder (I have on good authority) to do with the Search facility... and yet I can't get Multichoice to suggest a real solution to my problem. I pay a huge amount of money for the service and this Search facility is something I would like to use a lot... they can always get it working again, but after a day or two the fault begins again ..
