You gotta luv DSTV they email there customers to inform you of the fantastic new services they are going to bring you by upgrading there systems but if your HD hardware does not work on there new upgrade then on the 30/6 your system you brought will stop working until you call a installer to come and fix the problem at your cost..?
So i emailed them to ask what the heck is this about, there reply is as usual dont answer the question with a solution just send a generic reply that we will use for all queries... basically tying to sell you that calling a installer is good for you "We recommend you do it every couple of years" What I have to call them out at least once a year to fix something... Every time you call them with a query there only answer is " your installation is faulty... Only thing that's faulty is them! "
So to sum it up the HD decorder i paid R3000 for plus the R600 for the switch plus R500 for the new second decorder plus the R1000 installation will stop if I dont pay somebody to fix a problem I will only have because they want to upgrade the systems so they can add more service's that I did not ask for in the first place...
They should be on Carte Blanche!
