Firstly, in my dealings 75% of Multichoice helpline personal can't speak English properly. Repeatedly have to say pardon or please repeat. Surely being intelligible is a must! Phoned multichoice today at 1pm for Xtraview setup help, after 21min I asked the gentleman to get me another helper as phone manner was bad, ignored so put the phone down to try again. A lady helper, better, and seemed more competent, in 38min, we had not sorted anything out but she had managed to make things worse! In trying different set ups in the menu and 9949 she made my remote do double! Any button now repeats itself! I was told that someone (that knows what they doing/ damage control) would call me back today to hopefully fix. 8pm and still waiting.
Staff are also quick to blame equipment. A year back I phoned for help and when nothing worked I was told that I would have to take a 3month old HDpvr back to multichoice as there was nothing the helper could do. Ended the call, called back, and 20min later all sorted by another helper!!!
