Forced to pay damages I'm not responsible off

I have stayed for 11 months in a property administered by Huurkor. When I moved in I never signed any inventory list and the place was dirty. Because I was desparate I moved into the place an cleaned it, when I left the place in November 2012 I was told I wont get my deposit which amounts to R5300.00, instead I owe them R2800. This was amongst other things due to the nails installed on the walls, all nails installed on the walls are painted or consists of paint, meaning when the place was painted nails were already in there. who moves in a rented flat and paint it within 11 months without the owners concern. Wendy-Leigh Breytenbach delibaretely fails to understand that nails were installed before I move in. R980.00 was charged for dustbin which the body corporate of the place is responsible for. Wendy-Leigh Breytenbach and some of Huurkor employees are rude and don't know how to deal with people.
