Huurkor
Owners - DONT USE HUURKOR!

I've been renting my Sunnyside flat out since 1998 - originally with Arlon properties and then through some business deal Huurkor started renting my flat out.

I've recently realised that Huurkor is absolutely useless. They treat the tenants badly, dont follow up on tenant complaints, don't follow up on repairs and everything they do they try to recover from the owners. In the 15 years that my flat has been rented out there have been almost no maintenance done on items due to tenant damage.

Now that have cancelled my contract with Huurkor there are a myriad of maintenance that needs to be done - holes in the walls, broken glass, broken tiles, damaged basins etc etc. Huurkor just shrugs and says they got it like that from Arlon they cant be held responsible so it is for the owners account.

I've made my peace with this - I am getting R1000 a month more rent and I actually now know what is happening at my flat. Huurkor is useless. DONT USE THEM!
