Just Letting
No Electricity due to Just Letting

I have a pre-paid electricity meter in the house I am renting through Just Letting Middelburg. Due to the fact that they have not paid over the rates and taxes on behalf of the owner (as estate agents do on rental properties seeing the owner is staying in Rustenburg) I was told I am not able to purchase pre-paid airtime untill such time as the agents pay the arrears amount. Why should I sit without electricity over a weekend, and the risk of food wrotting, as I have 4 deep freezers, as our rent was deducted off our bank account on the 25th already. It gave them a week to pay the nessecary amounts due. Who will be liable to replace foodstuffs that goes off / compensates us in case of medical emergency as I have an oxygen machine and nebulizer which we can't go without, while I have no electricity due to their neglegance?
