I started renting a property from Just Letting Krugersdorp in May 2013 with my boyfriend. Around June he moved out and I let them know so I could receive the statements from then. In September I realised I could not afford the property on my own so I gave notice. I requested Just Letting take my deposit for the last months rent as the property had various faults and damages that was never fixed. The politely via email informed me that it cant be done because I am still to receive 3 water and electricity accounts after I move out. Not only does my mother work for the City of Jhb this is also not the 1st property I have rented in my life. I asked them to come on the 31st so they can take the readings for both water and electricity. Nobody pitched. On the 30th of October a lady from a lawyer did pitch - The handed my ex boyfriend over for the amount I paid and for the amount I said to take from the deposit. Why him if you know I live there. I am disgusted - And this just proves I would never have received my deposit anyway. I am now renting directly from the owner so I am still on the property - and although this was not planned I am happy not to be dealing with Just Letting anymore!!
