Do not deal with Prime Letting

We rented a property through Prime Letting. Upon moving in, no first inspection was done. We were asked to come up with a snag list and they would resolve the issues. Our snag list was extensive. We had 2 tons of rubble removed from the property, faulty wiring, a stove that didn't work, a broken guyser. So many issues that I would be here for days putting the list together. At first it seemed as if everything would be sorted. Contractors were in and out of our property and things started well. The problem was that nothing actually got sorted. The guyser was still faulty, due to the faulty wiring we used about R700 a week on electricity, even though we switched everything off in the house. We sent numerous and lengthy emails trying to get help but nothing was done. We eventually gave notice and moved out. Since moving out we have heard that they are refusing to refund the deposit. Apparently we did not give sufficient notice. We notified them a full month before we left, which constitutes as enough time. I have handed the matter over to my attorney and we will be taking this further. Beware of Prime Letting.
