Beware of Property Agent Anna Broekhuizen

I was contacted by Anna Broekhuizen of REMAX Melkbosstrand, informing me that she had a purchaser for my property in Atlantic Beach Golf Estate, Melkbosstrand. I was in the process of having various maintenance work done to it, when she said that was not necessary as the purchaser was buying it "voetstoets" for 2 million.

I accepted based on the sale amount of R1 999 995 and I would pay a commission of R100, 000 VAT. The documents were signed. When beetle and electrical inspection took place, a report was mailed to me indicating some work needed to be done to the house. I immediately contacted Anna Broekhuizen, by phone and email, stating that I would arrange the work be done by my team of workers at no cost. She acknowledged and agreed to this but went ahead and used the services of her people which I had not agreed to.

Needless to say, Miltons Matsemela Attorneys Blaauwberg RD, even though acting on my behalf and instruction, have held back funds (R19, 000) to cover this transaction that I never authorised. I have tried to Anna Broekhuizen, who does not return calls or respond to my emails. I have handed this over to my attorney to deal with now.
