We own a full title property on the banks of the Vaal Dam. Our property is at The Peninsula, marketed as - "To create the first residential security game village of its kind in South Africa, situated within the heart of the Vaaldam. This reserve would be home to a variety of wildlife and would offer complete security for your much-valued assets. The Developers - The Smal family have now launched Hunting Packages. They have done this with no consultation / warning with the Property Owners. They are offering prospective Hunters rifle hire - with silencers. Hunting Season has been declared as 29th April - end Sept. Bottom line is we have bought into a "game village" and we now we have Hunters running around from 06h00 - 17h00, Monday - Thursday, April 29th - September, many not licensed with hired weapons shooting in a residential area!!! Despite an outcry and numerous emails to the Developers, they have not issued any further statements! Interim investigations show their activities to be highly illegal.
